Hello, and welcome to our website. The Irish Psychic Foundation name was conceived in 2003 when Lisa Griffin was working at a psychic centre in Dublin, and she has continued to use the name with her psychic and healing work ever since. Who is Lisa Griffin? Lisa is a truly gifted clairvoyant, specialising in the Tarot, but capable of utilising other accoutrements - the crystal ball, runes, dreams, etc, all with highly accurate, and at times, uncanny results. She is also a Master Practitioner/Healer in Traditional Usui Reiki, and has studied, and qualified in, the Seichem alternative. She has particular interest in Mediumship and more especially, Shamanism, spending three years studying the subject under the tutelage of Master Shaman, Dermot O'Hara. However, her greatest pleasure is sharing her knowledge, so teaching and writing are now her fundamental motivations. So what's this site all about? This website has been created to eventually become a fully comprehensive source of information on all aspects of psychic awareness, alternative healing practices, environmental and ecological issues, and a range of relative subjects. Much has already been written elsewhere of course, but other websites, books, articles, etc tend to be on specific subjects. Here we want to bring everything together. As the site grows we will welcome visitor comments and personal experience articles. The other major aspect of I.P.F. is that it is now a constituted Association, open for Full Membership to certificated psychics and healers, artisans, and others who are qualified in complementary practices or business, or maybe campaign on environmental and ecological issues. Directories and profiles will be established to promote such worthy people and organisations. Membership in Associate category is open to others who have interests in the subjects that will be covered, and a desire to expand their knowledge, or go on to be a practitioner themselves. As the name implies, it is Irish based, so that will be our centre of concentration. However membership is open to all, although those applying as a Full Member will be vetted, and appropriate qualifications will need to be verified. We have no desire to promote charlatans. Sounds pretty good so far. As you may appreciate, there is a great deal of work to be done, especially to achieve all the aims, but bear with us - we will get there, and if you join us in our relative infancy, your participation will greatly help our growth. Although this website is fairly complicated to build, due to so many subjects to be covered, it is my aim to make it as easy as possible for visitors to find their way about. I see no value in making it flashy and complicated just to show off my capabilities as a site builder - says he with cheek full of tongue. The hierarchical layout will be kept simple and as easy as possible to navigate, and whilst the subject matter may be serious, it will still maintain an overall air of friendliness and readability in the writing style, and interject humorous content where appropriate. Because we are still in infancy, I have produced a 'What to Expect' menu item, so you can see what content and inclusions will be forthcoming during the next few months. I take this opportunity to thank John Chewter of www.inland-computing.com for his invaluable help in bringing this site to fruition, and of course to Lisa for the creational inspiration. Me? My name is Frank Samms, Foundation Administrator. If you wish to communicate - about anything - email me to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it (I'll make that a proper link shortly.) Throughout, when a subject has more informed writing than I deem appropriate to include, I shall provide a link to Wikipedia, the on-line encyclopedia. I firmly believe the Internet is there for all to read, learn from and enjoy, and I have no liking for those who put their work up for all to access, then lock it up by making visitors become a member, or log-in, or whatever. To me that is an ego thing, and I can't be doing with it. I have written a disclaimer, somewhat unorthodox, but sums up my feelings on this matter. Fundamentally this is Lisa's site, a way for her to pass on what she has learned, talk about the things that have influenced her, and share her, of'times, unique experiences. She is an exceptional person, an inspiration in many ways to many people, and a beautiful human being. It is a privilege to be part of her life. Thank you for visiting. Please enjoy, and return often. There will always be something new to stimulate your interest. Frank.
